The Penthouse

The Penthouse bar is located above the Freebutt and is open 7-days a week, 7.30pm till midnight (sun - thurs) 7.30pm - 1am (fri/sat). Come along for cosy surroundings with cheap drinks, comfy sofas, good tunes, free WiFi and regular free DJ nights.

Wed 3rd - Please Stop Trying - Codeine-inspired alt stuff

Thurs 4th - Hot Tip High-Fi - lost gems of Rocksteady, Early Reggae and Roots + original dubs

Fri 5th - Amazing! - Classic Rock, Power Ballads and general awesomeness

Sat 6th - Smack That - Expect party anthems, retro pop, lo-fi classics, indie smashers, hip hop grooves, eclectic mixes and of course a bit of 'world' music. www.smackthat.co.uk

Sun 7th - Felt Up! -Craft/DIY, mess making/music related events, projects and discussions.

Mon 8th - Beach Coma - Spinning the likes of Animal Collective, No Age, Times New Viking etc alongside some motown, soul, hiphop etc.

Tue 9th - Rate Noise - electro-glitch-tronica night.

Wed 10th - The Outer Church - Joseph Stannard (The Wire) spins technicolour sounds from yesterday's tomorrows - psychedelia, progressive rock, krautrock, library music, radiophonics, haunted audio and other weird shit. Brain damage for the discerning psychonaut.

Thu 11th - Get Your Geek On - A PARTY FORCE WHO SPIN A MIX OF BLEEPS AND BASS plus special guests.

Fri 12th - Lilo Feast - Non-DJs play music they like from Amerie to Zomby- no genres, no hype.

Sat 13th - Shebang presents: Eagle Legs - A sweet night of riot grrrl / soul / indie / fun

Mon 15th - Forever Pudding - Killing a hundred musical birds with two decks, Forever Pudding's ingredients include the best loud and quiet weird sounds from then and now. FREAKBEAT, GARAGE FUZZ, COLLAGEN ROCK, ULTRA-HOP, PSYCH ROCK, BLUESY WOOZIES, GOLD SOUNDZ, LITTLE BEAT, INDIE NOISE AND TOXIC POP

Fri 19th - Club Seal - Hosted by Superheroes of BMX, spinngin "indie noise pop funk soul mod showtunes americana hip hop breaks jazz glitch and more"

Sat 20th - Ultrasound - Switched on djs dropping a unique mix of boundary-pushing bass-heavy dubstep, ukfunky, garage, hip-hop, r'n'b and d'n'b to get you ravin'.

Tue 23rd - Rate Noise - electro-glitch-tronica night.

Thu 25th - Stop Rockin' Fake Sh!t - a mix up of indie, rock, punk and ska

Fri 26th - No More Mr Lo Fi - uber-fun mix of indie/pop/whatever with ever changing theme nights

Sat 27th - M.U.F.F. - All girl DJ gang spinning big tunes by top female artists... Beyonce, Bikini Kill, Kate Bush, Kelis. It's all good!
